It’s a perfect storm: having a 4-year-old son who loves hot sauce and working with a new hot sauce client. I recently started partnering with Murder Hornet Hot Sauce on long-form and short-form video content. To help launch our relationship, they shared a Lil’ Stingers Gift Pack with me. It was only natural to let my son try them all…and capture the moments with my iPhone along the way.

To start, my son seriously loves hot sauce. He puts Frank’s on everything—breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This isn’t torture; he is a willing participant in the fun. He saw the Lil’ Stingers pack on the counter for a few days and begged to try it. Finally, thanks to a rare snow day in Seattle, we were ready to taste-test the Murder Hornet Hot Sauce.

Murder Hornet Hot Sauce is made locally in Tacoma, which makes the brand super appealing to me. I love supporting local businesses and helping them grow through video production, storytelling, and content creation. The hot sauce is also free of preservatives, added sugar, and fillers, which is also a plus, especially when giving it to my kid.

Although it wasn’t required, my son cut into the Lil’ Stingers box with his safety scissors (a very 4-year-old thing to do). He had some fun counting and exploring the bottles and then tried the four Murder Hornet Hot Sauce flavors one-by-one. First, it was Blood Orange Agave, then Honey Bourbon, followed by Mango Verde, and finished off with Black Label.

As you see in the video, my son picked Black Label as his favorite. And rightfully so. Black Label has quickly become my favorite Murder Hornet Hot Sauce as well. Roasted ghost peppers and red Fresno peppers star with pomegranate molasses, black lime, and black garlic. It brings some kick but also great flavor. As my 4-year-old hot sauce enthusiast says, “I just want to try some every day!”

Creating short-form video content is one of our specialties at Moarly Creative, but there was an extra element of joy in creating this with my son. As I’ve said a thousand times, my family is the most important part of my life (no offense to any of my clients). All I had to do was set my iPhone on my Insta360 Flow (affiliate link) and let my son take care of the rest. And this video truly sums him up. His entire personality is encapsulated in these moments. I’m really lucky to have him in my life.
