There are many amazing non-profit organizations in the Seattle area. And there are many Seattle video production companies to help create non-profit videos. But not all video production companies are created equal. To properly connect with an audience, it takes experience, skillful storytelling, and high-quality content. That’s where our video production and content creation team steps in.
Video production truly is art. Sure, you can capture interviews, shoot b-roll, and slap it all together. Let’s call that a collage. It’s all there together, and it makes sense, but there isn’t a true order to it all. Collages can be beautiful, but you might need someone to help make sense of it all.
On the side, there is the sure-handed artist. Someone with experience, someone with vision. They take something extraordinarily complex and make it beautiful. And make it all make sense without explanation. With more than two decades of experience in television news and video production, we are the sure-handed artists. Not only do we create beautiful videos, we are also powerful storytellers–just right for non-profit videos.
Non-Profit Videos | Rainier Valley Food Bank
Rainier Valley Food Bank needed a non-profit video for their Community Harvest Gala. The organization is going through a transition as they not only recently purchased and moved into a new building, but the new building is now going through an extensive remodel. That means the Rainier Valley Food Bank team is now doing everything outside– in their parking lot, at a local library and church, and working out of “offices” in a tiny homes village. They’re working incredibly hard to provide the community with the food and services they need without any gaps.
Rainier Valley Food Bank approached our Seattle video production company for help. Not only did we help share the story of what the non-profit organization is doing now, but we also helped share the excitement of what’s ahead for the group and community. All while showing, how and why Rainier Valley Food Bank goes about things differently, offering employees a living wage and approaching food and services with a mindset of joy and abundance.
Non-Profit Videos | ROOTS Young Adult Shelter
ROOTS Young Adult Shelter offers shelter services to young adults in Seattle between the ages of 18 and 25. They are the largest emergency shelter for young adults in the state of Washington. They purchased and moved into a former fraternity house in the University District. The building is large and beautiful, but it also needs upgrades, which is why they are running a capital campaign to get funding.
One of the ways ROOTS Young Adult Shelter secures funding is through its annual Rise Up fundraiser. That’s where our Seattle video production company comes in. ROOTS Young Adult Shelter needed an experienced team that could help share their story and connect to a large audience.
We conducted interviews and captured b-roll, but we also added walkthrough elements with the project architect and renderings to show what the building looks like now and what it will look like in the future. With the completion of their building, ROOTS Young Adult Shelter will move services from only overnight to 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They will also offer expanded services on-site, focusing on becoming a community hub and not just a shelter.
Non-Profit Videos | Here and Now Project
We are a Seattle video production company, but we help with non-profit videos wherever there is a need. Take the Here and Now Project, for example. The Here and Now Project is on a mission to connect and empower the paralysis community in the Pacific Northwest. And while they’re focus is all over the Pacific Northwest, the non-profit organization is based in Sumner.
The Here and Now project also needed a video for their fundraiser, but the goal wasn’t just financial support. Their hope was to share who they are and what they’re all about to ask for donations, volunteers, and skills. Not only did the Here and Now Project use the video for their fundraiser, but the non-profit video now sits at the top of the About page on their website. We completed the video several years ago, and they are still utilizing it today. That’s true return on investment.
The Art of Non-Profit Storytelling
The art of creating non-profit videos lies in not just beautiful and compelling visuals (although those are very helpful). The true art comes in storytelling. That’s how you connect to the hearts and minds of your audience, whether that’s in person at a fundraiser or on your website. Linking a bunch of soundbites together isn’t storytelling. It’s a collage. Thoughtfully linking soundbites together with intention and meaning is storytelling and art.
Jill Chang of Bayview Seattle shared this testimonial after we completed a non-profit video for the Queen Anne retirement community: “From beginning to end, Tim was incredibly professional, sincere, and a complete joy to work with. His masterful storytelling was on complete display with our video. What surprised us most was his ability to capture complex elements with our Foundation and create a video that spoke to the heart of our mission. We’re grateful for our partnership with Moarly and look forward to future collaboration.” Click here to watch the Bayview video.
We love storytelling at Moarly Creative. It’s the core of what we do. It’s no joke when I say that I’ve told thousands of stories professionally on television or for clients. And while we have years of experience, we offer a non-profit rate to keep videos affordable for organizations. We want to see your hard-earned funds going where they should, and that’s to your clients who need help.
There’s a good chance you need to receive several bids for your non-profit videos. I ask that you allow us be one of those bids. I think you’ll find that we’re the right fit for your project. We make it easy to contact us. You can call, text, or email—whatever is easiest. You can also connect with us on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. And you can watch more of our video content on YouTube and Vimeo.
