We love to grind at Moarly Creative. It’s one of the characteristics that sets us apart from other Seattle video production and content creation companies. We just never have enough. That’s why I tell my team before every video project that we’re going to “shoot the sh*t out of every story.”

One of the most significant costs for video production is a shoot day. Equipment, skill, and experience go into the pricing. Knowing that a shoot day is one of your biggest expenses, it’s my goal to make it worth every penny by shooting and shooting and shooting more video content.

Sure, we might be focused on one video project or one story, but I encourage all of my clients to maximize every second of footage we capture for content creation. If we don’t don’t use everything immediately, we always have it safely filed away in our archives for future use. The more we capture at the moment, the less likely you’ll have to pay for another video shoot day.

Western Materials Video Project

Our recent video project with Western Materials is a prime example of how we grind at Moarly Creative and also how we shoot the sh*t out of every story.

Western Materials is a material supplier for contractors and subcontractors across the Pacific Northwest. They have nine different locations spread across Washington and Oregon. It was important for their video project to represent branches in different areas. The first shoot day took us from Seattle to Yakima to shoot at Western Materials headquarters. We captured interviews and b-roll of the immense property, shooting work in the yard and office, manufacturing, and inside the design centers and showrooms. At the end of the shoot day, we drove back to Seattle. We logged more than 300 miles and conducted a full-day video shoot in the process.

The next day, we continued our Western Materials video shoot by capturing content at their branches in Belfair and Lakewood. After a beautiful, sunny day in Yakima, we were stuck with pouring rain and chilly temperatures. That doesn’t slow us down, though. We completed another full-day shoot of interviews and b-roll while logging more than 130 miles.

We Love to Grind!

If that video project doesn’t count as grinding, I don’t know what does. While every shoot doesn’t call for that much driving, we approach every project the same way: we shoot the sh*t out of every story. After hearing the same message since starting my business in 2017, my incredible team doesn’t know a different way to work. And it’s honestly how we play as well.

If you’re looking for more evidence, here is more proof of our willingness to grind for a client. And we also have testimonials to back it up:

“Tim and his crew are consummate professionals,” said David Campbell of the Airline Pilots Association. I was very impressed with their ability to translate a complicated message into a visual story, their hard-driving work ethic on shoot days to go way beyond and capture footage outside the shot list, and their speed in turning a highly polished finished video.”
